If, at the Zimmerli
If, at the Zimmerli introduces students to the museum and the art and artists we display through an engaging (and silly!) story where artwork comes to life. The web-based story is accompanied by nearly 40 art activities that can be incorporated into your curriculum to explore the thinking & techniques behind the art. If, at the Zimmerli was created and written by local author-educator Nicole Gonzalez.
Best for ages 3-9.
Portraits, Role Play, and Writing
In this set of activities, students use a diverse selection of portraits from the Zimmerli's permanent collection as inspiration. These activities are adaptable for a wide range of grade levels, support social-emotional learning (SEL), and offer creative prompts for a variety of forms of writing.
