This is the museum’s and university's first grant from the Nissan Foundation, which will help fund a series of free, public programs for all ages in conjunction with the groundbreaking exhibition Indigenous Identities: Here, Now & Always, on view at the Zimmerli from Feb. 1 through Dec. 21, 2025.
KultureCity®, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting inclusivity and accessibility for individuals with sensory needs, has renewed its partnership with the Zimmerli, which makes the museum and all of the programs and events that the organization hosts sensory inclusive. A sensory bag, equipped with noise canceling headphones, fidget tools, verbal cue cards, and weighted lap pad is also available to all visitors who may feel overwhelmed by the environment. (7/16/24)

Over a three-year period, the grant will support the Zimmerli's initiative to implement new and augment existing efforts to reduce barriers by transforming it into a more fully bilingual museum, with additional programming and communication—such as signage, gallery labels, promotional materials—presented in English and Spanish.
