Summer Art Camp is back!
The Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers is excited to welcome you to Summer Art Camp! All children between the ages of 7 and 14 are invited to explore their creative side and develop new skills in the arts alongside our wonderful and experienced teaching artists. Please see below for important registration information, course descriptions, and the program code of conduct. We hope you’ll join us this summer!

Rutgers University is no longer requiring verification of vaccination status and/or testing of camp attendees.
Masks are not required.

Pricing (per week)
Price includes supplies.
Week 1 (no class July 4):
Half-Day (9am-12pm or 1-4pm): $200 non-members / $180 members
Full Day (9am-4pm; includes lunch supervision): $400 non-members per week / $360 members per week
Weeks 2, 3, 4, 5:
Half-Day (9am-12pm or 1-4pm): $250 non-members / $225 members
Full Day (9am-4pm; includes lunch supervision): $500 non-members per week / $450 members per week
Early Bird Discount (valid through March 31st): Early bird pricing (savings of 5% per class) is automatic this year. No discount code needed.
Member rate is subject to verification by museum staff and applies only to current Zimmerli members at the family level or above.
There is no aftercare this year.
Refund Policy
- Refunds at 90% are given for students who withdraw from programs by April 30.
- Refunds at 40% are given for students who withdraw from programs between May 1 and May 31.
No withdrawal refunds will be given after May 31.
Cancellation Policy
Rutgers University reserves the right to cancel any summer program, in which case a full refund will be made to those registered. We will notify you of the cancellation at least one week before the start date of the program.
If we need to cancel a day of camp because of any unforeseen circumstances (power outage, loss of air conditioning, campus closure, etc…), we will notify all impacted families by email and phone. Cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances will be refunded at a per diem rate.

Supplies
Supplies are provided for all classes and covered in the registration fee. You are welcome to send your child with a smock from home.
Lunch and Snacks
Campers are responsible for bringing their own nut-free lunch, snacks, and water bottle from home. There will be a brief snack break during each class. Supervised lunch is for full-day campers only and runs from 12:00-1:00pm. Lunch is held outside on Voorhees Mall, but in the event of inclement weather, campers will eat in the museum lobby.
Drop Off and Pick Up
Full-day and morning-only campers can be dropped off in front of the museum on Hamilton Street between 8:30-9:00am. All morning-only campers MUST be picked up in the museum lobby by 12:15pm. Afternoon-only campers can be dropped off in the museum lobby between 12:45-1pm. Camp staff will escort campers to their classrooms. All full-day and afternoon-only campers MUST be picked up in the museum lobby by 4:30pm. We do not offer aftercare.
If you plan to leave your vehicle unattended during drop-off or pick-up, please feed the meter. Metered parking is available in front of the museum and other adjacent streets; additional paid parking is available in the Gateway Center Parking Garage. A designated accessible street parking space is available in front of the museum.
There are several additional paid parking decks in New Brunswick not far from the museum. You can find more information about locations and pricing on the New Brunswick Parking Authority website. The Zimmerli is not responsible for any parking violations incurred by Rutgers University or the City of New Brunswick.

Zimmerli classes are open to all learners. If your child requires accommodations for a disability, please let us know ASAP after registering so we can ensure that they have the best possible experience.

Cell phone / Camera Usage
We require children to keep their personal cell phones in their backpacks during the program - while waiting for class to begin, during class, and during recess and snack breaks. Cell phones, tablets, and other handheld devices with cameras are not allowed to be used in the program without permission from camp staff. The use of video cameras or other recording devices is prohibited.
Student Behavior
Zimmerli Art Museum reserves the right to dismiss any student for inappropriate behavior.
The Summer Art Camp program has a ZERO tolerance policy for any bullying, fighting, insubordination, and disrespect. Any words, threats, or actions that are construed as bullying will result in dismissal from the program. Students must respect all staff members, peers, property, and their environment.
Code of Conduct
Please review the Code of Conduct with your child prior to the start of camp. A signed Code of Conduct and Participation Waiver must be submitted prior to or on your child's first day of camp.
