Membership Event: Behind the Frame
Assistant Professor Sue Huang [left] and Zimmerli curator Christine Giviskos [right], discuss the art of cyanotypes during a membership event.
Behind the Frame is back! We present Raven Manygoats, graduate assistant and curator of Hope with Humor: Works by Jaune Quick-To-See Smith. This exhibition honors Indigenous survival and resilience with both wit and optimism. It features works by the late Jaune Quick-to-See Smith, guest curator of Indigenous Identities: Here, Now & Always. Members are invited to attend a walkthrough tour of Hope with Humor led by Manygoats, featuring a selection of highlighted works from Indigenous Identities: Here, Now & Always. Then, enjoy an in-depth dialogue between Chief Curator, Jeremiah William McCarthy, and Raven Manygoats about the curatorial process, plus a Q&A to follow. A light reception will close the evening. Join us for our final membership program of 2025!
The fourth installment of the Behind the Frame series takes members into the world of curation. Hosted by Zimmerli curators, members are privileged to have a private evening exploring curation and the exhibition Hope with Humor: Works by Jaune Quick-To-See Smith. RSVP to attend!
