The museum is closed Mondays, Tuesdays, major holidays (see below), and in August. Tours may be scheduled starting at 11 a.m., but require 3 weeks' advance notice. Learn more on our Tours page.
Summer Hours (May 8 to July 31)
- The Zimmerli closes at 6 p.m. on Thursdays.
- The Zimmerli lobby is closed to the public on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Holidays
The museum is closed Juneteenth (Observed third Friday of June), July 4, Thanksgiving Thursday and Friday, and December 22 to January 1.
Gallery Closures / Activity
Beginning July 21, 2025, the Art of the Americas gallery will be closed until the museum reopens in the fall.
