Gerry Beegan 

is a design historian and critic and professor of Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, New Brunswick. His research focuses on the materiality of the printed image and on print’s role in creating a sustaining specific imagined collectives, whether it be fin de siècle London or 1960s Oakland.  He has published essays and reviews on design history and print practices in journals including the New York Times, Design Issues, The Journal of Visual Culture and The Journal of Design History.

Nicole Fleetwood 

is a writer, curator, and professor of American Studies and art history at Rutgers University, New Brunswick. Her books are Marking Time: Art in the Age of Mass Incarceration (2020); On Racial Icons: Blackness and the Public Imagination (2015); and Troubling Vision: Performance, Visuality, and Blackness (2011). Her exhibition Marking Time: Art n the Sge of Mass Incarceration is on view at MoMA PS1 September 17, 2020 - April 4, 2021. 

Donna Gustafson 

is the curator of American Art and the Mellon Director for Academic Programs and the Interim Director at the Zimmerli Art Museum at Rutgers University. Her research interests include photography and social protest, American art of the twentieth century, particularly of the 1960s and 1970s, and global contemporary art. Some of her recent publications and exhibition projects at the Zimmerli include Subject Objective: A Century of Social Photography; Guerrilla (and other) Girls: Art/Activism/Attitude; and at/around/beyond: Fluxus at Rutgers. 

Lisbet Tellefsen 

is an Oakland-based archivist, collector, curator, and publisher. Her archives and collections focus on late twentieth-century political African-Americana with specializations including the Black Panther Party, Angela Davis, the Young Lords Party, African American LGBT history, and political prisoners. She consults frequently for film and television, and her collections and archives are a frequently used resource for exhibitions, academic research, publishing, and media projects.
