As we bid farewell to the summer season, members join us for an afternoon at the Rutgers Floriculture Greenhouse. Rutgers Gardens Assistant Director of Greenhouses, Daniel Jacobs, provides a private tour of the greenhouse; a 5-section botanical teaching collection featuring plants from around the world. Learn about botanical curation and engage with the tropical plant displays. After honing your horticultural eye, participate in a floral design workshop held in the greenhouse classroom, where you'll learn and practice the art of floral design while making your own bouquet.
Transportation is not provided, but parking is free. The event will begin at 2:30 p.m. at the address below:
Rutgers Floriculture Greenhouse
64 Nichol Ave, New Brunswick, NJ 08901
Following the workshop, we encourage you to explore the Rutgers Gardens, located just 5 minutes down the road; visiting hours are 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
This program is in collaboration with Rutgers Gardens.
