March to Rutgers Gardens
The Zimmerli is proud to be a participant in and co-sponsor of the March to Rutgers Gardens, a publicly engaged, arts-integrated event to build our collective awareness of the benefits of walking and community connectivity. The official botanic garden of Rutgers University located on Ryders Lane, and host of a weekly Farmers’ Market, Rutgers Gardens is closely located to Cook-Douglass Campus yet isolated due to the lack of sidewalks or bike paths. The March will catalyze productive conversations around our collective responsibility to advance equitable access to the bountiful resources of the Gardens.
Enjoy dance, music, storytelling, and interactive experiences. Learn about the many layers of history held by the land Rutgers is built upon from guests and faculty speakers, including the Zimmerli's Donna Gustafson. Food trucks available at the end of the March!
