Conversation with Sheila Pepe and Maura Reilly

Join us for a conversation between Sheila Pepe and Zimmerli director Maura Reilly as they discuss the artist’s work in American Stories: Gifts from the Jersey City Museum Collection. This exhibition includes a re-creation of Sheila Pepe’s Tunnel (2005), an installation of shoelaces and nautical rope that references the mostly immigrant laborers who dug the tunnels between New Jersey and New York, as well as those who commuted through them to work in the city’s factories.

Free visitor parking is available by pre-registration at go.rutgers.edu/Parking101322. Registration allows you to park in Lots 1, 11, 16, 26 & 30. Until this process is completed, your vehicle is not registered and you may receive a citation. Special event parking and special event permits are only for visitors to the University and does not include free metered parking.
