Masks are optional while visiting museum galleries.
Disposable masks are still available to any visitor who wishes to wear one while visiting the museum.
Masks are required for classes.
All individuals attending courses or meeting in museum classrooms, including The Morse Research Center, are required to wear masks.

Proof of Vaccination for Programs and Events
As of March 10, all indoor programs and events at Rutgers require attendees to show proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to the event and must remain compliant with published Covid-19 protocols. Masks are no longer required at events.
Attendees must also provide a photo ID that matches the accompanying material (vaccination card/digital record or negative PCR test). Rutgers faculty, students, and staff may present their My Campus Pass, which indicates vaccination status.
General Reminders
- Continue to distance, especially when not masked.
- Practice frequent handwashing/hand sanitizing. Hand sanitizer remains available in common areas throughout the museum.
- The decision to wear masks in spaces where they are not required is a matter of individual choice and should always be respected.
- As a practical matter, and in the event the need arises, individuals should always carry masks.
