Health & Safety Protocols
Effective October 1, 2022
Health and safety protocols at the Zimmerli Art Museum are governed by policies developed by Rutgers University.
Events: Both indoor and outdoor events are no longer require attendees to show proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test.
Masks: Masks are optional while visiting museum galleries or attending events. Disposable masks are still available to any visitor who wishes to wear one while visiting the museum.
For the most recent details regarding protocols in all campus spaces and frequently asked questions, visit the Universitywide COVID-19 Information site. And as the pandemic remains fluid, the university is prepared to revisit these protocols should future public health conditions warrant.
General Reminders
- Continue to distance, especially when not masked.
- Practice frequent handwashing/hand sanitizing. Hand sanitizer remains available in common areas throughout the museum.
- The decision to wear masks in spaces where they are not required is a matter of individual choice and should always be respected.
- As a practical matter, and in the event the need arises, individuals should always carry masks.
